1. An alternate cover design suggested by Jerry Wexler.

but as Dylan explained to me — with this record he

wasn't selling himself but another.

3. He said to me— 'You know, when he was taken down from the cross he was just raw meat torn to pieces'. His focus on the 'Passion' made me make this image as a possible inner sleeve.

5. An alternate artwork. After the first sketch, this was the first 'finished' version I made. Bob found it too claw-like.

2. An artwork I made intended as an inner sleeve that would have text running over it. From the beginning CBS objected to the overly religious nature of the artwork and have repeatedly replaced it with this.

4. This is the first sketch I made of what would be the final artwork — shown to Bob Dylan along with alternate ideas of how the hands could be depicted. I knew though from his description that this is what he wanted.

6. One more of the initial sketches shown at our first meeting.
