TONY WRIGHT
Saint Francis of Assisi, 1182-1226, considered all nature as a mirror of God. In his 'Canticle of the Creatures,' which is popularly known as 'The Canticle of the Sun,' St. Francis refers to the Sun and the Moon and all creatures as his Brothers and Sisters. Tony Wright's interpretation of this classic was published in 1990. It won First Prizes of both, 'The Benjamin Franklin Award' and the 'Catholic Press Association Book Award'.
