A note on the Paintings.

My paintings are ‘reliefs’, they are made with multiple textures, metallic paints and gold leaf objects. Photography gives some sense of the dynamic results achieved by using these materials but what is missing is the element of light. For besides color, texture and form, light itself  becomes an ingredient of the paintings as it illuminates and casts shadows which become as important to the work as the textures, colors and forms themselves.
